I recently read an article hosted through Precision Nutrition’s website called “10 Things Elite Coaches Do.” In that, it discusses that outcome-based goals (“I want to lose 10 pounds in 1 month.”) are just that; a finish line. And the main point remains; to win a race, you need to… race.
Habitual goals are the race.
Each small goal you make (“I’ll drink 12 oz more water today,” or “I’ll burn 350 calories 4 days each week.”) equates to each footstep you run in your own race. And every other “racer” you’re competing against is each bad habit you’ve ever let finish 1st.
Stay strong. Stay motivated. And stay hungry!
